When you create an animation, it is important to plan the events you want to occur before you begin creating it. Otherwise, you may become lost in frames and layers and the animation may look choppy when it plays.
Generally, animation is a five-step process. Your workflow preferences and the animation's design may change the order of these steps.
To create an animation:
1 | Create a new document. |
2 | Using the Frames panel, add multiple frames to the document. |
3 | Draw or place objects on separate frames. |
4 | Set the frame delay. |
5 | Optimize and export the document as an animated GIF. |
For information on exporting as an animated GIF, see Exporting an animation. | |
